Obituary of Paulina Dahee Yim

Paulina Dahee Yim was born October 14th, 1977 in Seattle, Washington and passed away at UW Northwest Medical Center on March 9th, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.

Paulina grew up in South Seattle living with her aunts and grandmother and attended Renton High School. Following high school, she travelled to South Korea to teach English and met many lifelong friends along the way. On March 5th 2009, she gave birth to her first son, Ethan, who shares his birthday with Paulina’s brother Paul.

After 5 years in Korea, Paulina received news that her father had been diagnosed with cancer. She moved back to Seattle to help in any way she could and to introduce him to his grandson.

In 2013 Paulina met her husband Sam Min Ho Seo, and the two were married on August 24th, 2013. A few years later they welcomed a second son, Evan, on January 20th, 2015. Over the years as the boys grew up, the foursome enjoyed traveling and hiking together as a family.

Paulina was last working at Island Teriyaki with aspirations of one day opening her own restaurant with Sam and her family.

Paulina is proceeded in death by her father, Red Yim, and her younger brother, Paul Yim. She is survived by her husband, Sam Min Ho Seo, her two sons, Ethan and Evan Seo, her mother and step father, Polina and Charles Lee, and her youngest brother, Moses Yim.

Paulina was a caring, loyal, kind-hearted soul who loved classical music, hiking, and spending time with her family. She will be forever loved and missed by the many people she touched throughout her life.
