Obituary for Angeline Florence Nicholson

Angeline Florence Nicholson
It is with great sorrow that we share that instead of planning mom’s 90th birthday celebration we are planning a final celebration of her life. Angie Nicholson left us March 29, 2018 surrounded by family to join her husband Lloyd, son David (Marion), daughter Christie and grandson William in heaven. She was born May 15, 1928 in South Dakota to John and Fanny Dirksen. Angie was a true farmers daughter. She grew up helping on the farm, graduating College and going on to become a teacher in a one room school house.
Angie married Lloyd on May 29, 1949 and immediately moved to Edmonds where she had her 5 children. In 1960 the family moved to their farm in Arlington where she resided until her passing. Angie loved canning and gardening and had a beautiful yard full of flowers, vegetables and fruit. Angie was a nurses Aide at Bethany Home in Everett until 1980 and took great pride in her work and her care of others. Her final job was at Bayliner in Arlington.
Dinner was always on the table at 6 p.m., if you were there, be you friend or family, she would set a plate and always had enough food for everyone. Angie was a proud 22 year member of Lakewood TOPS #1087. The group met every Wednesday and they became her TOPS family.
She leaves behind Daughters Connie (Paul) White, Carole Beecher, and Carla (Jerry) Kneeland. 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren with two more on the way and one great, great grandchild. And many more family here and across the world. Angie was preceded in death by her siblings Edythe, Christina, Dick, Arthur, Walter, John and Evelyn.
Angie had a special bond with her two sisters in law that she loved like sisters, Ruth Hamlin and Evelyn Nicholson. They both provided her support and love during this difficult time. She and Lois Rist had a special friendship that has lasted many years. And if you knew her, you knew she loved you too.
Visitation will be Saturday April 14th at 10:00 a.m. at 92nd Street Church of Christ, 4226 92nd St NE, Marysville, WA 98270. A memorial service celebrating her long life, led by her Minister, Dennis E. Niva will follow at 11:00, with a reception immediately following.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 23800 104th Ave. W., Edmonds WA. Angie will be laid to rest next to Lloyd.
Services being provided by Becks Funeral Home.
