Ray left this earth on July 12, 2010 at the age of 92 and joined his wife Corrine of 67 years who passed away on Sept. 25, 2007.
Raymond was born in Racine, WI on Oct. 25, 1917 to Josephine and Chris Christensen, one of four children: Harold, Clarence, Raymond, and Irene.
After living in Wisconsin they moved to Jerome, ID and San Diego, CA; before they settled in Seattle, WA.
Raymond was a member of the first graduating class of Monroe Junior High School and later a graduate of Ballard High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a Machinist for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Masons for over 50 years and served as Worshipful Master at the Richmond Beach Masonic Lodge. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and later a member of the Scottish Right.
When he was in high school, Raymond built a car totally out of junk-yard parts fondly known as “the bug.” When his mother, who didn’t want him to drive “the bug”, would take the bus to go shopping, Raymond would wait for her to be out of...
