    Salvatore Pronesti (Sal) passed away February 19th 2010 in Sun City, AZ at the age of 87.
    He is survived by his wife, Ethel, daughters Patricia Pronesti, Toni (Brooks) Christensen, Tina Timmons, Francine (Michael) Dubrule, six grandchildren; brothers Carmine (Ann) Pronesti of Sun City, AZ, Joseph (Liberty) Pronesti of Brooklyn, NY, sister, Madeline "Dolly" Ferraro of Brooklyn, NY and many nieces and nephews.
    Two of Sal's children preceded him in death, his only son, Salvatore (Jay) passed away in 1967 during the Viet Nam War and his eldest daughter, Linda Greene passed away in 1989.
    Sal was born in Brooklyn, NY in February, 1923.
    He served his country during World War II as a Military Policeman in the United States Army.
    In November 1944, Sal was transferred to Ladd Field, Fairbanks, Alaska, where he met the former Ethel Chute at a USO Dance; they married in December of 1945 and were married for 64 years.
    Sal stayed in Fairbanks after the war...
