In loving memory of Theresa Marie Nys. Born May 6, 1936 and passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 1:20 pm at the age of 73. She had an eight year battle of cancer in her lower vertebrae. She was born in Alberta, Canada, met and married Robert J. Nys in Seattle. She lived with her husband and family in Seattle and were parishioners at St. Luke parish. She retired with her husband at Lake Goodwin in Stanwood, WA and a parishioner at Saint Cecilia's parish in Stanwood. She had seven children, 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her Catholic faith was her foundation and comfort through her entire life. When healthy, her days were always filled with Mass, visiting and comforting the sick, reading and studying her faith. She was active in the Legion of Mary as secretary and was an Extraordinary minister. Up to the end, she continued making rosaries until she lost her sight. She loved gardening, reading and playing...
