Mary Lou Tanner, 80, passed away February 9, 2010, surrounded by family, in her home at Aegis in Lynnwood. If a person could count their wealth by the number of lives they touched, she died a very rich woman. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob (Robert E. Tanner) with whom she shared a lifetime of love in 53 years of marriage; and is survived by her 6 children: Teresa (Rob) Reid, Ken (Barbara), Jeff (Becky), Becky Robbins, Jessica (Bob) Harbert, and Simon (Kathye); 10 grandchildren: Andrew Reid, Tami Reid Akins, Elizabeth Tanner Olafsson, Vicki Tanner, Aaron Robbins, Jody Robbins, Holly Harbert, Krista DenHollander, Nickolas Tanner, Bill Harbert; and 6 great grandchildren: Drew and Alex Akins, Nate and Paige Reid, Connor and Caitlyn Olafsson; and her surviving siblings: Alma Eisert, Elizabeth Meyer, Sidney Johnson, and Douglas Johnson. She was preceded in death by David Johnson and her parents Sidney and Alice Johnson. Mary Lou loved her Lord, her family, and her friends with an unparalleled depth and selfless enthusiasm. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care and kindness provided to Mary Lou by the Providence Hospice South Team and her Aegis family.
