Steven was born in Budapest, Hungary on May 12, 1943 to Gabriel and Magdalena Stoll. During WWII Steven and his family fled Hungary and spent time at a displacement camp in Germany. They were then sponsored by the Catholic church and began their journey to America where they settled in Peoria, IL.
Once through high school, Steven’s higher education included Marquette University and the University of Illinois. While attending college, Steven was a Big 10 Fencing Champion.
Steven was a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon who served on the staff of the Animal Medical Center in New York City and was later a professor of surgery at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
Steven had a true passion for lecturing and teaching in the field of Veterinary care. During a leave of absence from teaching during the Cold War, Steven traveled to Europe. Among his travels he visited Hungary and was invited to lecture at the University of Budapest.
In the 1980’s Steven and his wife Beverly purchased and ran the Seattle Veterinary Hospital for Surgery in Lynnwood, WA. After selling his practice, Steven worked at the Veterinary Specialty Center of...
