Minnie Agnes (Wittenberg) Webb, passed away early in the morning on January 31, 2018, at The Gardens at Town Square in Bellevue WA. She was 88 years old.

Born one of eight children to Abraham and Katherine (Barthall) Wittenberg in 1929, she spent her childhood in and around Zap ND. As a child she was a diligent scholar and an industrious worker. She occasionally accompanied her father, a coal miner and later a school custodian, to his job sites which she found fascinating. These experiences shaped Minnie’s industrious character and her goals for the rest of her life.

After the family moved to Bismarck ND, she attended Saint Mary’s High School, and graduated valedictorian of her class. Her academic achievements earned her the honor of being one of the first five women accepted to the business school at Fordham University in New York City where she lived with her sister, Kathy, while attending the previously all-male school.

In 1949, Minnie married Frank Webb of Bismarck ND, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. They spent their working years in Yakima WA, where they settled after Frank completed dental school in 1955....

Minnie can be honored by memorial gifts to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org/washingtonalaska, or The Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, www.seattlebraincancerwalk.org.
