    Shared Memories

Jean Troyer passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 27, 2017 in Edmonds, WA.  She is survived by her husband, Don; 4 sons: Michael (Kathy Joe), Patrick, Daniel, and Thomas (Maureen); 3 daughters: Kathleen (Jerry Graham), Donna (Rick Buyce Jr), and Sarah (Scott McCormick); 13 grandchildren: Ryan, Bernard, Noelle, Lilli, Alex, Joshua, Andrew, Gwendolyne, Amy, Nicholas, Shannon, Jonathan and Mary; and her brother Joseph Gill.

Jean was born on June 25, 1938 in Seattle, WA to parents, Eileen and George Gill. She attended Immaculate for grade school and Holy Names Academy for high school, graduating in 1955. She married Don Troyer 58 years ago in January, 1959. They resided the majority of their marriage in a home on Queen Anne Hill, spent 5 years in Chehalis, WA when Don’s job moved back and forth from Seattle, and retired to a home in Rainier, WA for 15 years. In 2014, they moved to Edmonds to be closer to more family as Mom’s Alzheimer’s was advancing and the home and garden in Rainier became too much to maintain. Jean lived a life devoted to her Catholic faith, nurturing her family, and spreading joy wherever she went.
