Eleanor Clark Castle (“Pinky”) passed away on October 22, 2017, at the age of 90. The daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Clark, she was born on December 12, 1926, in Tagus, North Dakota, and was the fourth of six siblings - Margaret Williams, Gene Clark, Clair Clark, Padaric Clark and Marcella Loper - all who have preceded her in death.

Eleanor was raised in Bozeman, Montana, and settled with her husband, Chester C. Castle, in Seattle and then Bothell, Washington. In 2013, her husband of 66 years preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Connie Castle and Scott Castle; three grandchildren, Sarah Castle, Gabriel Castle and Abby Castle; and three great grandsons.

Her career included 23 years working in the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which she retired from at the age of 75. She previously had worked at Montana State University’s Engineering Department, a number of private companies, including Lindal Cedar Homes, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Social Security Administration. In her retirement, she was an avid bridge player and spent time visiting with dear family and friends.
