Director of Labor Relations for the City of Seattle, noted fly fisherman, climber, husband, and father.

David passed away on April 22, 2017 in Edmonds, WA. He was born on January 5, 1955 to Fred and Dorothy Bracilano. The family later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1965. David graduated from Medeira High School in 1973, where he was captain of the football team. Many of his teammates remained life-long friends. In that same year, David decided he would set out west to climb mountains and attend college. Naturally, he settled on the picturesque Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. While at WWU, David met his eventual wife, Katharine Weeks, along with a whole host of climbing buddies. David graduated from WWU in 1977.

He then joined the Peace Corps in 1979 and was sent to the Marshall Islands. For two and a half years, David lived on an island that was 3.8 sq miles in area and inhabited by roughly 60 Marshallese residents. He spent many days fishing, attempting to cultivate the land, and teaching the Marshallese the game of cribbage. David even survived a harrowing shark attack while in the Peace Corps.

David finally came to his senses and married...
