Born Oct. 17, 1930 in Seattle, WA passed away July 24, 2012 at the age of 81 at Swedish-Edmonds Hospital in ICU with his wife, Barbara, by his side. He joined the Navy Reserve at the age of 17 at Highline High School and served his country in the Korean War as a VS-892 Navigator until suffering severe injuries in 1952. He attended Los Angeles City College, Occidental College, L.A. and earned his MA at San Francisco State. He was an avid Boy Scout and also worked as a counselor at YMCA. Later he attended Pacific Coast Banking School at UW and became a Personal Trust Officer with People’s, US and Key Banks where he retired in 1993 as Assistant Vice President. He was a member of the American Legion (Post #1) and Masons. His interests were antique cars (especially Packard), cloisonné vases, military patches and Presidential pins. He is survived by his wife, son Mark and daughter Laurie; and his step kids. His family and friends will miss this kind, generous, loving gentleman.
