Dan Kier was born February 14, 1975, in Seattle, Washington. He died July 9, 2012, at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Francis L. “Chuck” Kier and his grandparents, Harold & Lenore Crowder, Anna Marie Prestella and Homer L. Kier.

Dan grew up in Mountlake Terrace and attended St. Pius X School. He was an Altar Server and a member of Boy Scout Troup 60, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School in Seattle. Dan earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Shoreline Community College. He was a member of the Mountlake Terrace Police Explorers.

Dan was employed at Safeway for nearly 20 years and also as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Lynnwood for a short while. Most recently Dan was employed at the Boeing Company in Everett.

Dan has lived in Snohomish for several years and was active in his community. He coached baseball for North Snohomish Little League. He coached basketball and was a member of the “Watchdogs” at Riverview Elementary School. He...
