Robert Herman Lang, 92, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2012 in Everett, WA. He was born on February, 23, 1920 and raised in North Dakota.
As a young boy he was kidnapped on the golf course and caddied for the Pro's. At the age of 13 he shot a 33 and the local paper declared him "Boy Wonder."
He moved to Seattle in 1940 and worked for Boeing. He served in WWII and his duty was to care for General Patton's Horses.
He became a devoted Catholic at the age of 22.
Robert was an avid golfer and could have gone pro but married Jean Mero and had a family of 15 children. He was trained and worked as a carpenter and built the family home from the ground up in Lynnwood, WA where he lived for nearly 50 years. In his retirement he traveled extensively around the US with his wife, Jean. He continued to be devoted to the Catholic Church, golf, friends and family. He was caring, loving and generous not only to his children but to people in need. He will be deeply missed and his stories will live in our hearts forever.
He is survived by 13 children, Jim, Mary, Patty, Peggy, Joan, Claire, David, Bobby, John, Barbara, Janet, Judith, Tim; 30 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; children, Kathleen and Michael.
