David A. Nicholson, age 58, passed away Sunday, June 10 at his home in Lynnwood surrounded by his family. Dave was a wonderful and caring husband, son, father, and grandfather. He worked for Waste Management for nearly 40 years where he made many close friends and enjoyed his time as a Fleet Manager. Besides spending time with his children he enjoyed fishing, antiquing with his wife, working on projects around his home, his chickens, and especially his dogs. Dave was a man of few words but you always knew where you stood with him. He will be missed by so many who were blessed to have him in their lives. Dave leaves behind his loving wife, Marion; his children: Nick Nicholson and Fiancée Stacy Santos, Shawn and Michelle Nicholson, Eric and Shannon Nicholson, Julie and Jeramy Turner, Weston Thomas, Adam and Souvonnah Thomas; mother Angie Nicholson; sisters and their spouses: Connie and Paul White, Carole Beecher, Carla and Jerry Kneeland, Christie and Pete Arbaugh; grandchildren: Brooke, Jaeden, Austin, Justin, Jaksen, and Tegan. Dave was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Nicholson. The family would like to thank all the doctors at the UW Medical Center, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and the nurses with Evergreen Hospice for their care.
